In maybe just a second, the boy transformed into a towering dark figure, radiating swirling auras of red, orange, and blue around it. Agent Praxis instinctively let go and stumbled back.
The boy gave a small smile, as if he knew something, then walked off, leaving Agent Praxis behind. Still reeling, his daughter’s voice called out, “Dad! Dad, are you okay?”.
Agent Praxis turned to her. Beside her stood his wife, her face etched with worry. In that moment, the world seemed to halt, sounds faded, silence took over…
Then, without warning, without a chance to speak, just a piercing scream, his daughter and wife, along with hundreds on the beach, were sucked upward into the sky.
A massive dark vortex, its edges glowing with red, orange, and blue, dominated the darkening sky. It pulled every human and object on Earth’s surface upward, into its depths. Even the light…
Agent Praxis was dragged into the void, powerless, nearing the event horizon around the vortex. Faintly, he heard an echoing voice say, “Don’t repeat the mistake!” Then a whisper chanted something odd, “Gurges Gigas…Gurges Gigas…Gurges Gigas.”
Time felt agonizingly slow as he reached the event horizon. His eyes widened, staring at that dark figure again, now impossibly vast, swallowing everything.
Then, darkness…
“DON’T REPEAT THE MISTAKE!!!” a thunderous shout jolted Agent Praxis awake from his sleep. His heart raced, breath ragged like a panic attack.
Unbeknownst to him, he’d dozed off while working at his office desk. His face bore signs of exhaustion and troubled thoughts—a look he kept hidden from others, especially She-Hulk and her team.
Footsteps echoed toward his office. Steady yet firm steps. Judge Vignya pushed the door open and stepped inside. “That nightmare again?”, she asked, studying him.
