She-Hulk: Defending Wanda, Chapter 4: Wanda-838 Not Guilty...Or Is She?

This is a fanfiction story inspired by characters and concepts from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), owned by Marvel Studios and Disney. The story is set after the events of Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Deadpool & Wolverine, and the TV series WandaVision and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.  

I do not own characters such as Wanda Maximoff, Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk), Wong, Billy Maximoff, Tommy Maximoff, Deadpool, or elements of the TVA and multiverse. This work is created purely for personal entertainment and community enjoyment, with no commercial intent. All original characters (e.g., Agent Praxis and Judge Vignya) are my own creations. The Time Variance Authority (TVA) courtroom was thick with tension. Its metal walls reflecting the blinding neon green and orange lights. The trial of Wanda Maximoff from Earth-838 officially began.  

Judge Vignya, a wise, firm, and experienced Southeast Asian woman from the TVA, presided from a towering holographic bench. Her expression was calm yet inscrutable.  

Jennifer Walters, standing as She-Hulk, adjusted the TVA-provided lawyer’s robe. She stepped forward as Wanda’s attorney who sat in the defendant’s chair. A time collar still fastened around her neck. Her face looked nervous, but her eyes filled with hope.

The session opened with Judge Vignya’s firm voice, “Court is now in session. All present, please remain silent. The prosecution will present its case, followed by the defense’s witnesses. Agent Praxis, please proceed”.  

Agent Praxis rose and activated a holographic screen showing blurry footage of Wanda slaughtering the Illuminati on Earth-838. “The evidence is clear”, he said without hesitation. “Wanda Maximoff from Earth-838 is guilty of murder and multiversal disruption. We rest our case, Your Honor”. The room fell silent, the weight of the footage pressing down.  

Jen stepped forward, flexing her fingers with a smile, “Alright, my turn now. I’ll call the key witnesses”. The first witness was the Sorcerer Supreme, Wong. Wong took the stand with a composed demeanor.  

“I was there and saw her actions”, he began. “The Wanda who killed the Illuminati and caused multiversal chaos was from Earth-616, not Earth-838”. A soft murmur spread through the courtroom. Jen nodded, “Thanks, Wong. Solid start!”.  

Next, Billy and Tommy appeared via a TVA hologram. Their innocent faces filling the screen. Billy spoke first, “Our mom wasn’t herself that day. She looked… different”. Tommy nodded, “Yeah, she didn’t hug us like usual!”. Their simple words warmed the room, and Jen smiled, “Aww, you two are amazing. Noted!”  

America Chavez took the stand as the third witness. “I saw it”, she said firmly. “Wanda-838 convinced Wanda-616 that her kids were loved in this universe. Then, Wanda-616 sacrificed herself and destroyed the Darkhold and its copies across the multiverse”. Jen pumped her fist, “Boom! Plot twist!”.  

Suddenly, a flash of red and black streaked in. Deadpool, yes, Deadpool, landed on the witness stand. “Wait, Judge! I want to testify!”, he shouted, startling everyone. “I assure you, Wanda-838 is innocent, Your Honor”.
