Human resource management (HRM) is a crucial component for the success of any organization, and educational institutions are no exception. The management of educators and educational staff is an integral part of Educational Human Resource Management (EHRM), focusing on regulating the roles of human resources to ensure they can perform their duties and functions effectively1. This essay outlines the key strategies for managing educators and educational staff, from the initial planning stages to their termination, based on the nine core dimensions identified in the provided document.

The Fundamental Concept and Scope of Management

The management of educators and educational staff is defined as a series of activities that must be carried out from the moment they enter an organization until they leave2. These activities involve a range of managerial and operational functions. The goal is to empower educational staff to work effectively and efficiently to achieve optimal outcomes.

Fundamentally, human resources (HR) are the most important element in EHRM because they are the ones who manage everything within the organization. Without qualified HR, an organization cannot achieve maximum results, no matter how sophisticated its tools may be. Educators are educational personnel who participate in the provision of education, such as teachers, lecturers, and counselors. Meanwhile, educational staff are members of the public who dedicate themselves to supporting the delivery of education, including leaders, supervisors, librarians, and administrative staff. Both educators and educational staff are vital assets for improving the quality of national education.

Strategic Stages of Management

The document outlines nine dimensions in the process of managing educators and educational staff.

Planning and Recruitment

The process begins with the

planning of educational personnel, a systematic and rational approach to ensuring an adequate number and quality of educators to fulfill the organization's tasks. Following this,

recruitment is carried out to attract suitable candidates for vacant positions. This stage is critical as it determines the quality of individuals who will join the educational organization.
