Improving the quality of education is the main focus in human resource development. Educational supervision and evaluation is a crucial step to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the education system. Through the preparation of appropriate conclusions, constructive recommendations, and effective follow-up, it is hoped that it can make a significant contribution to the improvement and improvement of the quality of education in a sustainable manner. This essay aims to outline the concepts and important steps in the process based on the study of data analysis, supervision and evaluation of education.
First: The Concept of Drawing Conclusions and Recommendations
Conclusions are an important part of the results of supervision and evaluation. Conclusions are decisions obtained through inductive or deductive thinking methods. In preparing conclusions, the steps that need to be considered include describing the outline of the problem, connecting the data with the problem, and explaining the meaning and consequences of the conclusion. A good conclusion should be short, clear, relevant to the problem, and not contain quantitative information.
Second: Concept of Recommendation Preparation
A recommendation is a suggestion given for improvement. Effective recommendations should be considered based on several factors, such as improving conditions, logical, corrective, and as a short- and long-term solution. The principles in making recommendations include comprehensive, specific, well-structured, easy to implement, and reasonable.
Third: Sample Model of School Self-Evaluation Recommendations for School Budget Work Plan
School self-evaluation (EDS) and School Quality Report are important tools for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of a school. The results of this evaluation are the basis for the preparation of targeted recommendations. The recommendations given can be in the form of program development, facility improvements, or training to improve teacher competence.
Fourth: Follow-up
Follow-up is corrective action to achieve improvement. The follow-up aims to ensure that management has taken the necessary action on the evaluation findings. Factors that need to be considered in follow-up include the importance of the findings, the cost of repair, the risk, and the time frame.
Conclusions, recommendations, and follow-up are important components of the educational surveillance and evaluation cycle. The effective implementation of these three components will encourage continuous improvement in the quality of education. Thus, supervision and evaluation are not just an administrative process, but a strategic tool in achieving better educational goals.
