Global Jaya International School (GJIS) is an international school fully authorized to implement the International Baccalaureatte. GJIS is registered with the Indonesian Department of Education, located in Bintaro, on the outskirts of Jakarta, Indonesia. The school was established in 1995 with the mission to provide a high quality educational opportunity for Indonesian and expatriate students, in order for them to become active leaders in their local communities and effective global citizens.
Global Jaya International School teaching staff are all qualified and well-trainedto deliver an international curriculum using the framework of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) programmes. The school is authorized to implement the PYP, MYP and Diploma programmes from Kindergarten to Year 12. Elements of the national curriculum are blended into this framework to ensure that all students develop an understanding of local cultures and take pride in Indonesian heritage. One of the main objectives of the school is to prepare students for tertiary studies both internationally and nationally. A high priority is given to problem solving and creative learning skills.
Global Jaya International School (previously named Sekolah Global Jaya) has maintained a reputation as a leading school in the region. GJIS is accredited by the WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) organization from the U.S.A. This accreditation ensures that international standards are maintained within our facilities and teaching practices reflect the latest in research-based pedagogy. WASC accreditation and IBO authorization ensure that students are able to exit the Senior School of GJIS and enter universities across the world.
The learning programmes are supported by quality facilities that include a full sized, air-conditioned gymnasium, two swimming pools, soccer fields, playgrounds, basketball courts, two tennis courts, weight training room, dance room, drama studios, music suites, technology rooms, two levels of library area, four computer laboratories, science laboratories, and performing and visual arts centre (theatre) and canteen. Technology is an essential tool to learning and is supported by wireless access to the internet (WiFi zone), across the school.
