Fourth: Types of Research Based on Paradigms and Data Analysis
Quantitative research types include descriptive, comparative, correlational, and experimental, while qualitative research includes ethnography, phenomenology, case studies, and grounded theory. Mixed-methods research integrates both to obtain a comprehensive understanding. Quantitative analysis uses statistics, while qualitative analysis uses coding, categorisation, and thematic analysis. Choosing the right method provides flexibility while strengthening the validity of the research.
Natizah
The foundations of research methodology in educational management teach us that each paradigm has its strengths and limitations. Quantitative research provides objective certainty, qualitative research provides depth of meaning, while mixed-methods research combines the two. The integration of these methodologies is the key to developing relevant, valid, and strategic educational research for improving the quality of educational policies and practices.Â
