Based on my grandfather explanation, my last name (Sangian) it comes from Portuguese. Caused by curiosity, I search on google and found a family in Iran with Sangian last name. I email him and ask why our last name is the same. He said the same thing that according to our grandfather, we are coming from the Portuguese.
According to the Nusantara historical book about the Kingdom of Padjadjaran – Indonesia and from historical source of Portuguese narrate that the king of Padjadjaran ever delegate his son, the Prince Sangian to visit State of Malacca in 1512 to hold a friendship with the leader of Portuguese named Admiral Bungker.
The visit resulted in an agreement between the Portuguese and Padjadjaran was on trade and security.

A year later, the Prince Sangian crowned as the King Supreme Ruler until 1535 and as many as 4 Portuguese vessels visited all ports in Sunda of the Kingdom of Padjadjaran.
The agreement as mentioned above shows that the Portuguese will establish a fort in Banten and Kalapa the Kingdom of Padjadjaran.
When the fort was built, Padjajaran will submit the 1000 sacks of pepper annually to the Portuguese.

Sultan Trenggono (Demak) was very worried about the agreement between Padjadjaran and Portuguese because the Malacca Strait is the entrance Northern Indonesian Territory that controlled by the Portuguese. And caused by that agreement, Sea Trade Lanes between the Northern Region of Malacca Strait and the Southern Region of Sunda Strait will become a strong economic lifeblood and will destroy the Demak economic life.
From the historical source of Portuguese, the Kingdom of Padjadjaran only strong in the Army but not in the Navy that equipped by 100,000 soldiers and 40 Elephant Troop.
The boats that exist in the realm of the sea are more widely used for inter-island trading.
