Start by tilting your body to the left and right as this motion will promote your bowel movement better. Your midwives will help you tilting your body left and right as comfort as you wish. By early mobilization, you could reduce the risk of formation of blood clots in your leg.

·Depend on your progress after c-section, you’ll stay in hospital for three or four days after birth. Usually for the first day, you’ll spend your first day at recovery room or different room than your own room at the hospital. It’s because the nurses and midwives need to check on you regularly.

·Painkillers after birth is a must, you’ll have the effective painkillers and you’ll take pain relief medication home with you too.

·Your wound dressing will normally be removed after 24 hours and sooner if it gets dirty.

·If this is your first time become a mom, ask your midwives to show how to cuddle and breastfeed your baby.

·Physiotherapist would be offered if you had any difficulties to sit, stand or walk. They also will show you certain techniques to laugh or cough to avoid causing problems with your scar. Ask your physiotherapist how to do your daily chore to minimize pain in your incision site.

·Keep your wound clean and dry. Avoid direct compression from your underwear at your incision site. Wear loose clothing and roomy pants.

·Some of you might feel trapped wind, whilst it is common after c-section. By early mobilization and sipping warm tea, your bowel movement is getting better.
