Tourism potential is everything that is unique so that it can be developed into a tourist attraction.  Indonesia is an island nation with its own uniqueness and uniqueness.  All forms of this uniqueness make Indonesia has a huge tourism potential.  Tourism is an important economic sector in Indonesia.  A million of the natural beauty, culture, and original heritage of Indonesian ancestors are more values that we need to continue to echo.  Tourism has a strategic position in increasing the country's foreign exchange.  Even last year, Indonesia's tourism industry was able to contribute around US $ 10 billion in foreign exchange.  Tourism is a creative service based sector.  Indonesia with rich tourism potential should be able to maximize its maximum potential for the welfare of the people.  Moreover, tourism is a more environmentally friendly industry.  If it sells enough natural beauty, why should damage or take it.

Corona virus outbreak began to impact on Indonesian tourism, where according to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) the number of foreign tourist arrivals or tourists to Indonesia in February 2020 decreased by 28.85% compared to the number of visits in February 2019. In addition, if compared to January 2020  , the number of foreign tourist arrivals in February 2020 also experienced a significant decline of 30.42%, not only in Indonesia. World tourism also received an impact from this Covid-19 issue.

In the recent time the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) released the situation and the impact of the corona virus will make a decrease in international tourism revenues with an estimated 20 to 30 percent.  Based on UNWTO data, this means that it will have an impact on the value of growth that will be lost for five to seven years due to the Covid-19 outbreak.  The tourism sector has been predicted as the second largest source of foreign exchange contribution for Indonesia.  However, the corona pandemic COVID-19 changed everything.  The Covid-19 outbreak had a profound impact on tourism entrepreneurs, where employers' fears were increasingly becoming because the signs of this virus outbreak would be resolved still blurry.

Hotels being the worst-hit sector were also hit by the covid-19 pandemic virus in which many hotels relied on revenue from cooperation with travel agents.  In the absence of support from travel agents, the hotel will be paralyzed from booking activities that contribute to hotel revenue by 60%.  At present many hotels have laid off almost 99% of employees without pay and have fully closed hotel operations to cut even more losses due to lack of revenue and low hotel occupancy rates that are not commensurate with the income received.  Even in big cities whose income levels rely solely on the tourism sector many issues are developing that many hotels are being sold. Now for hotel owners or hotel investors only hope that the world's economy can recover quickly.
