The independent clause is also known as the main clause. It has a subject as well as a verb, and can also be used as a sentence. It cannot be used as a noun, adjective, or adverb because it acts as a sentence. An example of independent clause is Farika is clever.
Dependent clause are also called subordinate clause and need independent clause to give the complete meaning of the sentence. A dependent clause consists of a subject, a verb and a predicate but does not
act as a sentence because it needs support from the independent clause.
