My niece, Marsha, insisted I should see a show by Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra with the program

As I had been to Aula Simfonia, a hall specially built for music performances, in Jakarta, I did not expect much from an Orchestra performance at Hilton Hotel and was sceptical about it. As the music played, I was mesmerized. Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra is no ordinary Orchestra. It has good musicians in their class. The sound of music was far better than I had imagined. I couldn't help pondering how could it be. There is no denying Bandung has a world class orchestra.
Many thanks to Yayasan Bandung Philharmonic for holding a world class classical music performances at very, very low price, ranging from 180k, 300k, 600k.
A standing ovation for Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra for a joyful evening .!

Watching the performances of 68 musicians, 78 singers from 9 countries at Hilton Hotel Bandung is exhilarating. Ode to Joy by Beethoven brings about the joy in the audience's hearts to flame.
The Portable Concert Hall
The mistery  of  how to make the sound of music pleasant to the ears was solved  . Reading the booklet FLAME OF JOY during the break, I found an interesting article entitled Freude, Freude by Airin Efferin, describing The Portable Concert Hall . What I thought to be a simple decoration, actually is a Portable Set of Acoustic Panels which plays an important role in transmitting pure rich crystal sound to the audience.Â
Thanks to the late Oky Kusprianto's ingenuity and imagination, The Portable Concert Hall was created with lots of love. Now each time Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra gives a performance, there would be love in the air. As the musicians transmit beautiful music by way of acoustic panels to the audience, Oky Kusprianto, from a far away place, will also transmit his love to the audience especially for his beloved wife, Airin Efferin.
Oky Kusprianto passed away at the height of his career. It is a great loss to his family and Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra. What a regret!
Mr. Oky Kusprianto, you have led a happy and meaningful life.
Your life is a blessing
Your memory a treasure
You are loved beyond words
And missed beyond measure.
