Abstract
The development of the capital market is influenced by several capital market indicators such as capitalization value, the value of the shares traded, and the stock price index. The change of these variables will affect the stability of the economy as well as the political and security stability that reflects the level of confidence of economic agent on domestic conditions.
The development of the capital market affects the national economic growth, the importance of the role of the capital market in encouraging national economic growth as seen from the development of the capital market will affect macroeconomic indicators such as real exchange rate, inflation rate, as well as economic growth as measured by real gross domestic product.Â
In the end, changes in exchange rate growth, real investment growth, inflation rate growth and balance of payments will affect economic growth and result in a trickle down-effect that leads to improvements in the overall welfare of society. In Indonesia the development of the capital market contributes to economic growth, especially from tax payments.

Abstrak
Perkembangan pasar modal dipengaruhi oleh beberapa indikator pasar modal seperti nilai kapitalisasi, nilai saham yang ditransaksikan, dan indeks harga saham. Perubahan dari variable-variabel tersebut akan berpengaruh pada stabilitas perekonomian maupun stabilitas politik dan keamanan yang merefleksikan tingkat kepercayaan pelaku ekonomi terhadap kondisi domestik.
Perkembangan pasar modal berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional, pentingnya peran pasar modal dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional terlihat dari perkembangan pasar modal akan berpengaruh pada indikator-indikator makro ekonomi seperti nilai tukar riil, tingkat inflasi, dan juga pertumbuhan ekonomi yang diukur berdasarkan produk domestik bruto riil.Â
