Education is a fundamental pillar in shaping the future of a nation. In today's era of globalization, the demand for educational institutions capable of competing at the international level is becoming increasingly urgent. One strategic effort to address this challenge is through the development of Islamic and international educational institutions that are managed professionally and meet global standards.

First, the Basic Concept of Islamic/International Education Institution Management; Global management of Islamic education is a strategic process involving cross border administration to enhance institutional effectiveness. International Standard Schools (SBI) and International Standard Madrasahs (MBI) are developed based on the National Education System Law (UU Sisdiknas), aiming to produce graduates with high competitiveness while remaining rooted in local cultural values. In its development, SBI requires strong leadership, measurable quality, and synergy between central and regional governments.

Second, Characteristics of International Educational Institutions in Indonesia; International schools in Indonesia adopt curricula from developed countries aligned with OECD standards. Foreign languages, particularly English, are used as the primary language of instruction. Other distinguishing features include innovative, technology-based learning environments, multinational cultures, and visionary leadership. With these characteristics, students are expected to gain global insight and relevant skills to compete internationally.

Third, Features of Input, Process, and Output of SBI; The key features of SBI include internationally qualified inputs such as curriculum planning and effective resource management. The learning process is designed to be active, creative, technology-based, and uses English for core subjects like science and mathematics. The output is globally minded graduates ready to pursue higher education abroad and excel in various fields. Evaluation is conducted using standards from OECD member countries to ensure graduate quality.

Fourth, Management and Best Practices in Establishing International Educational Institutions; SBIs are established in response to the need for improving national education quality. Their implementation requires professional management and compliance with both national and international standards. One example of best practice is MBI Amanatul Ummah in Mojokerto. This madrasah integrates Islamic values with international selection and evaluation systems, proving that Islamic educational institutions can also compete globally.

International schools and madrasahs are educational institutions that adopt global curricula and use foreign languages as the medium of instruction. These institutions offer high competitiveness through multicultural environments, technology-based learning, and professionally managed standardized systems. Specifically, international madrasahs combine Islamic values with global education standards, creating a balance between academic excellence and the development of Islamic character.
