Samarinda, Indonesia --- September 10, 2025 (SMAN 13 Samarinda). Under the LUPIC umbrella co-led by UNNES, Sogang University, and UNMUL, the program opened with the national anthem and partner remarks, positioning the day as hands-on community service for schools and a springboard for classroom implementation.
Teacher track --- Differentiation & AKM. Professors Sri Haryani and Sri Wardani guided a workshop on designing differentiated learning materials aligned with Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM), moderated by Cepi Kurniawan. Participants produced adaptable lesson components and rubrics to monitor both process and product.Â
Opening and orientation: participants receive the day's agenda and objectives from the organizing team.Â
Student track --- IoT & small-scale chemistry. Facilitators Gilang and Ibrahim led hands-on IoT training, followed by Dr. Agung Tri, Gilang, and Herlina on small-scale experiments---emphasizing safety, low-cost reagents, and easy replication so labs can run in resource-limited settings.Â
Students conduct a small-scale experiment with facilitators, focusing on safe handling and accurate measurement.Â
Cross-track enrichment --- Global STEM & prototyping. A Korean chemistry teacher delivered an online guest lecture on STEM education in Korea (with FabLab/STEM learning as an alternative focus), hosted by Cepi Kurniawan. Next, Siti Herlina and Cepi ran a workshop on integrating 3D pens for teaching chemical bonding and molecular structure, followed by Ibrahim and Gilang on designing molecular models for 3D printing.Â
Facilitator demonstrates a microscale technique during the combined session; participants observe before trying the procedure themselves.Â
Capstone practicum --- Multiple Intelligences in STEM. The day closed with case studies and simulations on applying Multiple Intelligences in STEM classes, turning outputs into ready-to-use artifacts: differentiated lesson drafts, IoT data-capture tasks, microscale experiment sheets with safety notes, and STL-ready molecular models. An evening networking dinner consolidated commitments for school-based pilots and continued mentoring through the UNNES--Sogang--UNMUL network.Â
Closing group shot with facilitators and students celebrating a productive training day and the next steps for classroom rollout.Â
