Alert, Periodic 6.0 Earthquake Hits Pacitan, East Java, Felt as Far Away as Yogyakarta in the Early Morning.
A 6.0 earthquake has struck the area in Pacitan, East Java, causing everyone to panic and run out of their homes. The earthquake was also felt in the Yogyakarta area.
This earthquake occurred at around 1 am on June 8, 2023, where local residents felt a fairly strong shock and made all residents panic and run out of the house. The earthquake was felt for 3-5 minutes. This earthquake did not have the potential for tsunami waves.
BMKG also warned local residents that there would be three aftershocks, the first of which would occur at 00.36 WIB, and the second aftershock would occur at around 00.49 with a scale of 3.5. BMKG asked local residents to remain vigilant and keep monitoring information related to aftershocks from BMKG.
