Pollution:

What is pollution? From what we know, pollution is a substance that is harmful to our environment. And harmful materials are called pollutants, and some examples are trash, runoff from factories, and more. There are four types of pollution, which are air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, and sound pollution. All this pollution is extremely harmful to our environment, and we are producing it.

Air Pollution:

Air pollution is the type of pollutant that effects negatively on the atmosphere. There are many causes that makes air pollution, which are burning fossil fuels, Vehicles such as cars or trucks, factories, and more. All these causes are from what we are doing right now, and the effects are harmful to living things. It could make us breathe way harder, could give us diseases, global warming, and way more. Sometimes, air pollutants can be seen, for example the sky becomes greyer, showing that there is air pollution in our area.

So, how do we stop air pollution? We could drive our car less, like when we want to go somewhere that is near, we could walk or ride a bicycle towards the place. Other than that, we also should not burn our things frequently because it will make smoke that will affect negatively on our environment. We could also plant trees near our house because trees will make oxygen. If we do all these activities, it will reduce the amount of air pollutants, saving our environment.

Water Pollution

Instead of affecting our atmosphere, we now have pollution that effects negatively on the water. This pollution will affect ponds, rivers, even the sea. The causes of water pollution are throwing trash towards the ocean, oil leaks, and more. The effects of water pollution are that most humans could drink water that has been polluted, meaning that it will kill most humans who drink that water. For the animals that lived in the water, they could accidently eat the trash or swim in oil leaks, meaning that also the sea animals would die.
To reduce the water pollution, we could stop throwing trash towards the ocean, but instead throw them into the right place for example the trash bin. This could make the sea animals not accidentally eat trash and die. Other than that, we could also recycle the trash. For oil leaks, we could not throw away oil towards the ocean, and make sure that cars don’t have any oil leaks. Doing all these activities, we will save our ocean from dying.

Soil/Ground/Dirt Pollution

Soil or ground pollution is when pollutants will affect negatively on the ground. It could be toxic chemicals that are in the ground. This will be very dangerous for our environment, and it could also affect humans’ lives. The causes that made soil or ground pollution to be made are mostly from our human activities. For example, if we throw trash carelessly towards the ground, we could also throw away toxic chemicals. The effects of soil or ground pollution are that it could make us sick whenever we are near to the ground that has been polluted. It could also make animals die if they eat grass that has been polluted. Other than that, it could also make the grass harder to grow if it’s on polluted soil.

To reduce the amount of soil pollution, we could not throw trash into the ground, and we could also tell people to make more eco-friendly buildings for our environment. Doing this will reduce the amount of toxic chemicals in the ground. It will also save our environment and animals from pollutants in the soil.

Sound Pollution

The last pollution in this essay is now sound pollution. Sound pollution is when we hear a very loud noise that could be painful to us humans. To hear how much sound we hear, we use Decibel or DB. It starts when it is 65 DB. The causes of sound pollution are from car horns, and airplane taking off, when someone is constructing a building, etc. The effects of sound pollution are that it could give us humans a headache, it could also make us harder to fall asleep when there is a loud noise, etc.

To solve this sound pollution is to avoid activities that involve a sound that has above 65 DB. We could also wear headphones to reduce the amount of DB. Doing this could prevent you getting the effects of sound pollution.

Global Warming

Global Warming also known as climate change is the rising of temperatures in the earth, meaning that our earth is getting hotter and hotter. The cause is from greenhouse effects. The green house effects make heat slow to escape to space. The effect of global warming is dangerous to our planet because it will make the cold part of the planet melt, and it will be very hot.

To reduce global warming, we could use cars less often, and instead we could walk or ride a bicycle if the place that we are going is nearby. Other than that, we could also recycle more trash, use less hot water, etc. Doing these activities will reduce global warming and saving our planet from melting and being too hot.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we learned about all types of pollution, the causes, effects, and how to solve that type of pollution. We also learned about global warming which is very dangerous to our pollution. All these pollutions could damage and kill our planet, but if we do activities to reduce the pollutions, we could make our planet clean and safe from danger. So, let’s go! Let’s save our planet!
