MALANG -- Kampung Kayutangan Heritage has become one iconic tourist destination in Malang Most of the buildings of this place are old buildings that have been built during the colonial period, so it has become an icon for this place.
The architecture resembles those buildings you have seen in Amsterdam, Holland. So, don't be surprised if the local people and some tourists refer to this place as The Little Amsterdam van Java "This place has taken more attention from the stakeholders. And along with it, the local government pay more attention to this village, and then they support this bill to be established," said the Deputy Manager of Kampung Kayutangan Heritage said on Saturday (25/5/2021) based on the internet.
You can also find a bridge that has been built which you can find in Europe. To organize the place the local community also takes part in this.. Especially during this closure for Covid-19. All the renovations took no more than 7,4 months.
Some things like fences, sidewalks, canals and some lights are made to look like European cities. the plan is that they will also build a canal like the one in Venice with their canoes.
Around the area, it is planned that some mural paintings will be added by the management.. "The mural will be paint as exotic as possible with old traditional nuance. It will be placed on those empty walls," Herman added.
To accommodate the tourists with some local culinary, the management also thought of building a cafeteria which presents the local delicacy. Locals can open stalls on their own terraces if they don't find the right place.
"No more people open their stall at the street. We will list them and check them occasionally. And we will ensure the cleanliness and make Kampung Kayutangan Heritage a worthy place to visit in Malang," Herman said based on the internet.
