Therefore, Yanukovich proposes instead that Moscow and the European Union co-manage Ukrainian pipelines to boost supply security and avoid a repeat of disputes of recent years that led to supply cuts to the EU, which gets a quarter of its gas needs from Russia. When it comes to reality those programs are good for Ukrainian, but the political stability is a must for running those programs. The out-going President, Viktor Yushenko in his press conference stressed that the dispute don’t have to ruin the national and democratic order, he noted that it has to be settled in court. The Election has showed to the international community that Ukraine post Orange Revolution has been developing the democratic live for the sake of its people. The significance of the election is not only for the Ukrainian, but also for the East European Region especially ex-soviet countries, Ukraine has become the model of the establishment and development democracy. Carnegie Moscow Center expert Nikolay Petrov argues “the significance of that ‘revolution’ derives not from the specific personalities in power, but rather from how the Ukrainian political system is constructed, from its adherence to pluralism, its competitiveness, and its transparency”. The stable and democratic Ukraine can promote the stability in Central and East European region and also it can be a bridge between West and East.
