Critical Pedagogy and Its Pedagogy of Hope for Creating a Sustainable Democratic Society

However, it is a part of struggle which is inevitable if we understand that our democratic society is now in a great peril. In addition, people must be told that they are part of democratic process, they are part of history and they can become an agent. They must understand that history is also in their hands and it is open but it also needs a really rigorous work to change it. 

Pedagogy of hope will give people power not only as a passive optimism but must be accompanied by awareness of having collective responsibilities to sustain our democratic society. And as Henry Giroux said, we have to believe it can be done.
