"Welcome on board hell!"

The voice was still ringing in the ears Bambang Suherman, a former realtor motorcycle Tegal. On an April morning five years ago, his life suddenly bleak when fishing along Rich 01, a ship owned by Chinese citizens.

He did not think that day he will travel around the world: across the ocean, and through various continents. Bambang, who was living far away from the sea-he could not even swim, did not suspect that will work on the ship. The story is long and painful, and originated from want he worked in a foreign country.

From Jakarta he flew to Amsterdam, then went to Trinidad. From Trinidad he reaches Port of Spain. Then he boarded a small boat to Tobago. From here, he picked up the employer, and taken out to sea. The total journey of 15 days from mainland Trinidad to Tobago, South America, up to the deck of the ship Rich 01.

'Speech' welcome to hell 'was quite surprising to me, "said the 37-year-old man told CNN Indonesia early April. Greetings, said Bambang, come from an Indonesian who had already been working on board fishing vessels it.

The ship began to move. He was still quite tired. The waters off the Atlantic ocean, fierce waves rocked hard. He was not a sailor, her stomach churned. Bambang eventually collapsed because of hangovers. At that time he felt like homecoming. But the distance is so far away.

New rested two hours, and try to sleep, a kick to wake him. Nausea and dizziness suddenly disappeared. His body was sore and pain of the blows and beatings belt. "I rebuked in Chinese, which I knew when I ordered it might work," said Bambang recalled. (See Focus: Slaves Indonesia on Foreign Ships)

Moving on from the deck of the bed of the crew, he did not finish junior high school was re-met with the penyapanya in the bow of the ship: Edi Siswanto, Sanang and Dober. Those crew members from Indonesia, and already more than a year before work. Because've never been to sea, Bambang was confused. In the middle dizziness hold drunk, he helped as best he could, pull the thread fishing line with all his strength.

"The first day I worked from 12 pm to the next morning, only got two hours of sleep and then kicked to work again," he said. "I think maybe this is just the beginning of work on the ship hell."

But the work was indeed quite heavy. He pulls the thread fishing line nearly 20 hours a day. Hands smooth as a broker seriously injured motorcycle now cut the strings. "Waking up after two hours of sleep, my hand suddenly rigid. To scoop out the white rice was not able to. I could only cry, "said the powerfully built man.

The cruelty wheels rolling. Day after day, never stopped. Count 20 working hours apparently taken for granted. They work like slaves in the ship hell.

Together Bambang, on board 01 belongs Kwo Jeng Rich Trading Co. Ltd, there are 15 crew were treated like slaves. Five people from Indonesia, seven from the Chinese, four Vietnamese. Two skipper ships, each of which is the interpreter engine and the captain, comes from China.

During the day, they were forced to challenge the fierce waves of the Atlantic under the scorching sun. Then at night, ambushed wild sea breeze, hand injury forced to withdraw fishing line to lift the hook caught fish.

No need to talk protection, the work was not even appreciated. The slave ship that's just assume all liability. "In fact, there is also claimed the lives they do not care," he said.

Bambang similar fate, Imam Shafi'i has the same story. Before fishing and enslaved, youth from Tegal was working as a security guard in a company. But a broker migrant workers in the village named maze persuade him to work abroad. "I do not know what works, what she describes principally working abroad salary of US $ 180 per month and promised bonus doubled if a good job," said the 29-year-old man when found CNN Indonesia.

Imam left Indonesia in August 2011. It took two days and three nights of air travel, of course with a stopover at a number of airports, to reach Trinidad Tobago. At least it is remembered Imam. "Port of Spain the name of the port where I was heading to the ship crew torturer named Rich 7. The term ship torturers I conclude after me enslaved for two years without pay," he told CNN Indonesia. (See also: Variety of Professions The Slaves Origin Indonesia)

"Why will be invited to go to hell?" The words rolled from a senior crew working first three months of the Imam.

After a week of work, the priest realized. On the boat, working hours depending on the captain, a Taiwanese. This means that when the captain was asked to work, especially when in the fishing ground, the crew can not stop for a second. "Stop, punches and kicks will be floated," said Imam. He showed scars on his body, inherited from the hell ships.

He continued to work, and mad for two years the ship was never anywhere jetty. The catch is picked up by small boats, as well as logistical needs delivered ships at sea.

During the two-year wage of US $ 180 which should be received by the Imam he never got. Ship owners then abandoned them floating in the waters of Trinidad and Tobago in 2013, until finally rescued after six months floats on the sea. Bambang and the Imam is a grim piece of the story of the fate of the crew working on foreign vessels fishing. There are about 262 thousand crew of Indonesian citizens working abroad based on data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted by Overseas Indonesian Workers Union (SPILN). About 77% work on board fishing vessels, and they are scattered in Asia Pacific, South America and Africa. The rest go to sea along a cargo ship (6.57%), cruises (6.80%), tankers (0.68%), and a tugboat (8.84%). (See also: Flirt Candy For Indonesia Slaves in Hell ship)

Bambang, the Imam, and a number of their fellow former crew dispatched by PT Karltigo ever dispute against this issue. They demanded the intermediary company and the case was brought to the West Jakarta District Court.

The court held from late 2013 until early 2014. At the trial it was revealed that the company was not licensed to dispatch sailors. In fact, a witness from the Ministry of Transportation in a statement during the hearing said that the seaman book brought slaves from Indonesia was false.

Unfortunately the owner, Willy, is only lightly punished. He snared a matter of falsification of documents. For his mistakes he was only sentenced to one year in jail and a fine of Rp 40 million subsidiary five months in prison. He was convicted of the crime of human trafficking article. (See Infographics: The Slave Ship Itinerary Hell)

Now, the Imam did not know what else to complain about wages kepeda who were never paid. Willy itself according to Imam, had gone abroad. CNN Indonesia encountered many similar stories from those who have been recruited to the company. They are framed so sailors, without sufficient competence, and equipped with fake documents.

A story about slavery in the fishing vessel was raised again after the news about the crew from Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam in Benjina, Aru Islands, Maluku. Bambang, Imam and his fellow crew members from Indonesia on foreign vessels is similarly threatened his life.

-"When is Eid?"-
- "It was past three days ago."

2012. The waters of the Atlantic, on one morning. Fish invasion subsided in Rich vessel 7. The vessel was a work of Imam Shafi'i, a factory security guard who was trapped into a slave of foreign fishing vessels from Taiwan. Heard Lebaran already passed three days, he went thoughtfully. For Muslims, Eid is a special day. But he never knew how to calculate the day it arrives. "Nothing at all facilities timepiece on board," said the 29-year-old man. Let alone an hour or satellite phone, the calendar just hidden Imam said the captain.

As slaves, who worked for two years on the ship and without being paid, which he knew only day and night. "Easy to recognize, the same light the dark," the man said jokingly in an interview with CNN Indonesia last April.

There are days he recognized as a great day. It was the turn of the lunar calendar in the Chinese tradition, or Lunar New Year. "Captain celebrate with us allow the crew to eat chicken and pork," he said. But for the Imam and his colleagues are Muslims, pork is forbidden. "What I saw pork tormented dihidang special moment," said Imam.

Being in the middle of the ocean made him miss wracked weight to my hometown. Especially when Eid arrived. But Imam could not contact anyone on the mainland there. Actually, there are satellite phones belonging to the captain. He could have borrowed it. "But then every ten minute priced at US $ 500. The price is impossible to promise a salary of US $ 180 per month," said Imam.

During the work, according to Imam, not the slightest ship facilities which he enjoyed. Even to smoke a cigarette, he had to fight with the captain. Later he was given cigarettes at rest he must redeem by cutting his salary per month. "The captain had a log book for our spending his slaves," he said.

The ship belongs to Kwo Jeng 07 Rich Trading Co. Ltd. of Taiwan's flag, there were 13 slaves, seven people from Indonesia, six are from China, three Vietnamese nationals. Two boat skipper, each interpreter engine of China and the captain comes from Taiwan. These ocean voyage in the Atlantic. Occasionally they penetrated the beautiful waters of the Caribbean where the story begins captain Jack Sparrow.

Asked the cleanliness issue, Imam chuckle. Clean water is only intended for the captain, the skipper of the vessel with his right hand engine guard. While ABK, for two years using sea water bath. "Soap shampoo cut again from salary, so do not wear mending shampoo or shower is not all," he said. Besides, he added jokingly, would also make handsome seen anyone, people in the middle of the ocean so. "(See Infographics: Poor facilities in Hell ship crew).

Health issues, is also minimal. Each torture scars never given the drug. Most, said Imam, the slaves wound heal itself. Almost like a miracle. "Once I was sick, eating raw fish, like in a Japanese restaurant I thought, even cured," said Imam.

So what if the slave pleasure working appreciated by Captain? Imam never catch a big tuna. The captain was proud of him. What is the prize? "I was given a candy, that's all," he said.

Once he thought to revolt. But alas, the captain had weapons which he had hidden. So, where the slave ships dare disobey. "The threat to kill it seems like every time, apart from nature with the waves rolling also of the captain who had firearms," he said. (See also: The Story of The Slave Ship Indonesia Above Hell)
