Today's world community cannot be separated from globalization. One of the impacts of globalization for Indonesia is the entry of various kinds of foreign cultures into Indonesia. For example, people prefer to eat foreign food or foreign food compared to eating food from their own country. With globalization, most people tend to switch to consuming fast food. Currently, we often encounter several fast food and beverage products originating from abroad.

These various food products seem to have pushed aside the original food made in Indonesia. Fast food is much-loved by people so that fast food can be said to be one of the popular cultures. Foreign foods in Indonesia have slowly begun to replace foods such as satay, meatballs, fresh vegetables, rendang, klepon, cucur cakes, steamed cakes, lemper and so on. These foods have begun to be forgotten because Indonesian people prefer more modern foods that come from abroad such as fried chicken, steak, burgers, pizza, hot dogs, french fries, spaghetti, sushi and so on.

The community considers these foods to be hygienic, modern and practical. Indonesian youths are generally curious about foreign food culture and want to try it out of boredom with traditional food. Therefore, Indonesian youth are easily influenced by new things. Moreover, many foreign foods are promoted through cyberspace and print media. Therefore, the Indonesian people do not want to be left behind. They definitely want to enjoy what the virtual world and print media have to offer.

Fast food is very popular among almost all Indonesian youths. From young to old must have tasted it. These foods are indeed very easy to find in malls, restaurants and large shops in the center and suburbs. And maybe it has also become entrenched and has become elite food, especially for teenagers in urban areas.

But unfortunately many of us don't know that types of fast food in general have great potential as junk food. Junk food is a term that describes foods that are unhealthy or have little nutritional content.
