Having a chance to stay overnight at Alila Jakarta is a great oportunity to refresh my soul, body, and mind.

Reaching Alila Jakarta is very easy. The nearest train station is Juanda, and the nearest TransJakarta bustop is Pecenongan. Taxi and bajaj are available to bring you to Alila, but if you enjoy sight-seeing, reaching Alila on foot from the nearest bus stop or train station will be enjoyable. It is located on Pecenongan Street, which is popular as the culinary place. During the day time, there is no sign of culinary activity, except the big board sign over the street enterance. But after dawn, the food sellers are busy preparing the tent, food, and other equipment along the sidewalk. Don’t worry, the street activities will not disturb the relaxing time in your room.

Entering the hotel, you will see no art gallery nor big bunch flowers, but wide, clean, simple lobby, embraced by modern lines and abstract-minimalist interior will refresh your eyes. Just like its name, ‘Alila’, which is taken from Sanskrit, means ‘surprise’, Alila Jakarta will surprise you with a new concept of geometry.

Alila is equipped with restaurants, bars,  outdoor swimming pool, Executive Lounge for Executive rooms and Suites guests, Mushola, meeting rooms, Gym & SPA Alila. I really get pleasure from the calm, relaxing swimming pool, and the Massage treatment from the SPA Alila. SPA Alila specializes in aromatherapy and traditional Indonesia SPA healing techniques. While the executive rooms I stayed are featured by safety deposit box, IDD telephone, cable television, free wifi internet connection, and the fruit bowl.
The Buzz Restaurants serve both local and international menu. Indonesian food are served as well as western food. I enjoy Soto Ayam and Sate Ayam, which are served with good taste from this restaurant. While in Shanghai Storm restaurants, I tasted all you can eat with only Rp. 125.000 on Sunday.

Alila Jakarta is also close to Passer Baroe, one of the oldest markets in Jakarta, which is famous for its street art, clothes, shoes, and food. The famous National Monument (Monas), Cathedral Church, Al-Azhar Mosque, and President Palace are also reachable. So, it is suitable not only for young urbanites and executives, but also the whole family members.
