The Indonesian Republic Goverment decided include restriction on community activities or namely Indonesia Policy introduce is Penerapan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) emergency for Java and Bali Island. The Policy is imposing restriction on community activities on July, 3 to 20, 2021.

"This emergency PPKM will include restrictions on community activities that are more stringent than those that have been in effect so far," said Jokowi.

The President also appointed the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan as the coordinator of the implementation of the policy.

Emergency PPKM was implemented in 48 districts/cities that recorded an assessment score of 4, as well as in 74 districts/cities with an assessment score of 3 in the Java-Bali region. As long as the emergency PPKM is in effect, restrictions are placed on a number of sectors and activities. In an online press conference held Thursday (1/7/2021), Luhut explained a number of emergency PPKM rules. Here are the details:

1. Offices operating in the non-essential sector are required to implement work from home (WFH) 100 percent.

2. Teaching and learning activities must be online.

3. In the essential sector, employees who are allowed to work from the office or work from office (WFO) are a maximum of 50 percent with strict health protocols. The essential sectors in question include finance and banking, capital markets, payment systems, information and communication technology, non-COVID-19 quarantine handling hotels, and export-oriented industries.

4. In critical sectors, WFO may be carried out 100 percent with strict health protocols. Critical sectors include energy, health, security, logistics and transportation, food, beverage and supporting industries, petrochemicals, cement, national vital objects, disaster management, national strategic projects, construction of basic utilities (such as electricity and water), to fulfillment industries. basic daily needs of the community.
