In 18th century, there was the farmer who died unordinary. The farmer’s name was Jack Smith. No one knew why he was died. Everyone scared and asked for his death. He was burried under the soil in his family’s grave. He had not married. He lived with his mother in the countryside near his field. He never had seen his father since he was a child. He didn’t know where his father was.
Many years passed since his death. In 20th century, suddenly Jack woke up. His soil was shaking when he came out from the soil. He didn’t realize that he had already died after a long time. He felt sleep for a night, but it was totally false. He tried to dig himself out and screamed loudly. He felt difficult to take a breath. No one helped him. After several minutes, he could achieve the surface of the soil. He felt free, but he didn’t know where he was.
Everything was different. The world was change. Jack didn’t see the same thing like before, the countryside changed into a city which was full of skyscrapers and modern technology. He saw many buildings, transportations and humans everywhere. The pollution made him difficult to take a breath. He remembered that he was sleeping in the corner of his small house when something happened, but when he wake up, he found himself in the centre of crowded city.
Then, Jack walked around the city like a disoriented beggar. He used the dirty clothes. Everyone looked at him, he was like a poor people who had not the other clothes. When he was walking, he met a woman who accosted Jack. She used the tidy clothes and glasses. She was very beautiful. Her hair was long and she also had a white skin. She was very kind, so everyone was attracted to her. Immediately, Jack talked to the woman. The woman said that her name was Annabeth. After that, Jack asked her about the day and date at that certain time. Annabeth said that at the moment, it was 2030. Jack was very shock. He was the people who lived in 18th century before, but it changed into 20th century. He didn’t know what was happening. Jack told everything to Annabeth. Annabeth realized that Jack had already slept for 200 years. Jack started to ask himself some questions. He didn’t know why all the things were happening to him.
Annabeth curioused to Jack. She asked him many questions. Annabeth asked Jack’s full name, family’s background and offered him for any help. Annabeth wanted to help Jack to solve his problem. She invited Jack to follow her and lived with her family in her house for several days. Because of Jack was very confused, he accepted Annabeth’s offer.
After several minutes, Jack arrived at Annabeth’s house. Annabeth asked Jack to take a bath and rest. Annabeth thought about Jack’s problem. It was very strange. Suddenly, Annabeth realized one thing, she realized that Jack family’s name was Smith, which was same with her family’s name. Annabeth considered if the man still had any relation with her family. Then, he told her mind to her mother. Her mother also considered the same thing with her.
After Jack took a bath, he walked around Annabeth’s house. When he was walking around there, accidentally, he dropped an old book. The book was very dirty and dusty. One strange thing happened, he felt that he had ever seen those book before. He feltfamiliar to the book. Then, he called Annabeth and showed those book to her. He asked her where was she get the book. Annabeth answered that the book was her family’s book. She got the book from her mother. The book was inherited by her mother, the book had been passed down through generations of her family. Jack realized that book was also one of his book. They were very confused. Annabeth opened the book and suddenly she saw Jack’s photo on one of the page. The page showed Jack’s fullname, photo, birthdate, deathdate and the reason why he was death. His death date was written “1830” and the reason of his death was written “unknown”. Jack and Annabeth shocked. Annabeth was scared to Jack after she knew that Jack had already died. Also Jack, he was scared to the situation. Annabeth realized that she was the seventh generation of Jack, and Jack was her ancestor. Annabeth was very curious and she wanted to know the reason why was her ancestor dead and lived again.
Annabeth tried to think out Jack’s case. She remembered that she had ever known a legend of her place. The story of the legend came from 18th century. The legend was a story about a couple which had got married. One day, the wife cheated with the other man. When the woman was cheating, she got pregnant from the man. Her husband was very angry and he left her wife. After he left, the woman lived with the man and they took care of their child. When the child was 1 year old, the man left the woman and the child had not ever seen her father again. The child was cursed by his mother’s first husband. Her husband was very grudge to his wife. He cursed the child that one day when the child grew up, the child would get a fake death. The child would rise again two centuries later after the child had died. But, Annabeth didn’t know those complete story. She only knew the story until there.
Jack started to think about his family. He never saw his father since he was a child and he lived only with her mother. Jack wondered if the legend which was told by Annabeth was about him. He also realized that he had died in 1830 and rised in 2030. Annabeth also thought that the legend told about Jack’s life.
After several days, both of them were pretty sure that Jack was the child of the legend. Annabeth decided to help Jack to release his curse. Annabeth felt that both of them had a chemistry, so that Annabeth had the obligation to help Jack, her ancestor. They were going to go all over the city, they tried to find the answer. While they were searching, Jack saw many things which were different with the thing and situation which he had seen in 1830. The city was very different, it became more modern. He saw many cars, buildings and peoples everywhere, it looked same as what he had seen after he raised from his death.
After they walked aroud the city, they found a graveyard. It was the graveyard of Smith’s big family. But, when they were trying to find Jack’s grave, they didn’t find it. Jack was very sad and hurt. They were very confused. He considered that he was a bastard child. When they were walking around the graveyard, they saw Jack mother’s grave. They approached Jack mother’s grave and looked at his mother’s gravestone. Annabeth saw the unknown language on the gravestone. But she didn’t understand what it was mean. She asked Jack and hoped Jack understand the language. When Jack was looking to the gravestone, he remembered that he had ever looked at the languange. He was using the language when he was child to play the game with his mother. He tried to read the language. He considered that there was a message from those language. After several minutes he read, he found the answer. The meaning of the language was the way to lift Jack’s curse. To lift the curse, Jack had to drink seven drop of seventh generation of Jack Smith’s blood. Of course, the seventh generation of Jack Smith was Annabeth. They discussed to each others. Finally, Annabeth decided to give seven droop of her blood for Jack.
At the moment, Annabeth cut her finger with the knife. The blood was flowed from her finger. She was putting her finger over Jack’s mouth while Jack was opening his mouth. When the first drop dropped, Jack’s skin started to wrinkle. Then, when the second drop dropped, Jack’s hair became white. After the third drop, Jack’s skin became pale and skinny. Annabeth was very scared. She didn’t want to continue her action, but Jack pushed Annabeth to continue her action. Then, when she was dropping the fourth drop, Jack’s skin started to fall like the food which was being eaten by the insects. Annabeth was sad and screamed loudly. Annabeth tried to hold her wound, but Jack still opened his mouth, he was waiting for finally rest in peace. When the fifth drop entered Jack’s mouth, Jack’s skin left, only his bone that was starting to become pale which was attached in Jack’s body. Annabeth pulled her finger away, but Jack pushed Annabeth to continue her action. Then, Annabeth put her finger again over his mouth. The sisxth drop was happening, there was the blood which was going out from Jack’s body, his bone finally left. Finally, the seventh drop entered Jack’s mouth. All parts of Jack’s body disappearedand nothing was left. Annabeth was surprised. She was very sad and missing him. Suddenly, she heard Jack’s soul who said thank you and found a peace.
