In teaching English for children, there are various types or forms of toys used. Some parents sometimes pay less attention to what toys are highly effectives for growth. It stemps the right children’s toys are very important to support children’s growth and development. In concern with this problem, to meet the child’s needs, the workshop should include corners and alcoves for block toys, manipulative toys, reading, and listening activities. There should be secret places into which he can crawl, climb, think imaginatively, or determine how much room his body needs in space. In fact, motor sensory skills are not only closely related to physical abilities and intelligence of children but also to psychological aspects of children. Hence, I am going to argue that educational toys for learning English are effective in improving children’s sensory and motor skills. In order to support this argument, the essay will critically present two major benefits of educational toys in improving children’s sensory and motor skills especially in learning English.
1. Compiling Puzzle Toys.
The first, compiling Puzzles can improve children’s ability to use muscles, especially those around the hands and fingers. In addition, motor skills will be well honed, making children move actively. Children are trained to rearrange or put together pictures to the best of their ability according to shapes, colors, layouts, or letters. The development of children’s motor skills is an important part of human life. On the other hand, what is more important is how the child’s innate motor skills can be optimized in a program that suits the child’s needs, so that they can get benefit from doing appropriate physical activity. (Gustiana,2018) In conclusion, educational toys especially English Puzzles, try to help optimized children’s innate motor skills as well as cognitive abilities in learning English.
2. Toys of Many Colors.
The second is improving children’s sensory abilities by playing many colors of the toys. There are many ways to improve children’s sensory and motor skills. One of them is by giving games that have different colors in each part of the toy. For example, toys that parents make themselves, such as colorful balls or origami that are shaped to make it more attractive, so parents can teach children to place toys, according to the color type in one container. This will help children to learn and coordinate something according to its type. Children with ages 0-2 years are able to recognize his world through organizing sensory experiences, for example through hearing and sight with physical and motoric actions. (Edi, Istikhoroh, Nur,2017,p.78). In summary, a child’s sensory experience will emerge through organizing sight or hearing, one of which is by playing with toys of different colors.
In this article, I have argue there are two major benefits of Learning English using Educational Toys. The benefits are, Firstly by putting together a puzzle that the child’s innate motor skills ans cognitive abilities will increase. Second, playing with different colored toys will enhance the child’s sensory visual experience. Based on the benefits explained through the essay, I would like to conclude that Learning English using Educational Toys is Effective to Enhance Children’s Sensory and Motor Skills.
