True anarchism is not synonymous with violence.

Anarchism is a political concept and ideology that opposes authoritarianism and hierarchical structures. However, society often views this ideology as controversial and associates it with acts of violence. This is due to the stigma associated with anarchism which is reinforced by the image in the media and the opposing party. Anarchism, on the other hand, is built on the values of freedom, equality and encourages active involvement in shared decision-making.

Therefore, it is important for us to understand anarchism correctly and also to straighten out the stigma associated with this philosophy. We can accept and respect anarchism as a viable alternative to the existing political system if we fully understand its ideas. So, let's understand what real anarchism is.

Anarchist Principles

Anarchism, in reality, is built on values of freedom and equality, and it promotes active involvement in collective decision-making. These concepts seek to eliminate the hierarchical structure and promote social fairness. Anarchism opposes all kinds of undemocratic power, including the authorities and capitalists.

The Battle Against Stigma

Actual anarchy is defined as a state in which there is no violence, no human dominance over other humans, and no enforcing of one person's will over another. The violent behaviors generally associated with anarchism were primarily the result of an ill-defined approach known as "propaganda by deed," a direct-action program supported by certain anarchists beginning in the late 1870s. That violent and even criminal acts were required for enhancing the anarchist movement intrigued especially those who were dissatisfied idealists who believed that the only way to disarm the ruling classes and overthrow the capitalist system was to cause havoc with bourgeois society's daily activities. One method was to assassinate public figures associated with political and religious authority. Destroying restaurants, robbing banks, and demolishing churches as well as other hierarchical institutions were all considered as justified means to a goal.

As a result, it is critical not only to comprehend anarchism properly but also to battle the stigma associated with this philosophy. The fundamental key in this scenario is societal education and illumination. We must remove unfavorable misconceptions about anarchism by disseminating accurate facts about it.

The Anarchist Movement as an Option

We can recognize and respect this movement as a workable alternative to the existing political system if we fully comprehend the tenets of anarchism. The anarchist movement may offer several approaches to resolving social and political issues that society is now facing.
