Analisis Media Twitter terhadap Sikap Masyarakat Milenial di Era Modernisasi

Dewasa ini, perkembangan zaman semakin hari dapat dikatakan hampir tak terkendali. Berbagai model prubahan terkhusus dalam teknologi informasi, teknologi informasi selalu memberikan kemudahan dan sekaligus selalu memberikaan kekhawatiran dalam perkembangannya. Kedua dampak yang ditawarkan oleh perkembangan media sosial ini, diakui tidak bisa kita hindari dalam penggunaannya. 

Seperti yang dikatakan Wael Ghonim, seorang pegawai Google, berpendapat bahwa " untuk membebaskan sebuah masyarakat apa yang anda butuhkan adalah internet". Ia meyakini bahawa media sosial atau jejaring sosial mempunyai kekuatan untuk mengubah masyarakat dalam berpandangan. 

Ditambah lagi dengan munculnya platform-platfrom media sosial sepeti Youtube, Twitter dan sebagainya, yang memungkinkan manusia berselancar didalamnya sesuai dengan kebebasaanya. Dimana seseorang dapat membuat web page pribadi dan terhubung dengan orang yang tergabung dalam media sosial yang sama untuk berbag informasi.

Jejaring sosial twitter kini menjadi trend serta bisa dikatakan media komunikasi terfavorit dikalangan masyarakat milenial, tercatat dalam Direktur Jenderal Sumber Daya Perangkat Pos dan Informatika (SDPP) Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika Budi Setiawan menyatakan perkembangan dunia teknologi berkembang sangat pesat di dunia tak terkecuali Indonesia dengan mencapai peringkat ketiga di Asia untuk jumlah pengguna internet. Tercatat sebanyak 44,6 juta pengguna Facebook dan sebanyak 19,5 juta pengguna Twitter di Indonesia.

Social media as a group of internet-based applications builds on the ideology and technology of Web 2.0, which allows the creation and exchange of user-generated. Social media is very influential on the behavior of its users. 

So that with the influence of Twitter in the lives of its users, Twitter is never separated from the lives of users and can even affect the behavior or changes in the lives of the users themselves.

Besides that, what is interesting is that several indicators in this Twitter variable are one of them Trending Topic, a topic or issue that is currently hot or being discussed by many people or groups. That is what is currently a phenomenon among millennials today, it cannot be denied that the progress of the times or modernization today demands the information needs of social media users.
