Model Of RMBI Madrasah (Pilot International-Standard Madrasah and Global)

The Pilot International-Standard Madrasah (RSBI) is an educational model that integrates National Education Standards with global values, without neglecting Islam and local culture. Although the term RSBI has been officially abolished, its concept continues to be implemented by many madrasahs as a strategy for integrated quality improvement. Through a glocalization approach, RSBI madrasahs aim to produce pious graduates who are academically excellent, globally minded, and possess strong national character to meet the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and sustainable development.

First, the Basic Concept of RMBI Madrasah (Pilot International-Standard Madrasah):An RSBI Madrasah is one that has fulfilled National Education Standards and is enriched with global standards, such as a bilingual curriculum, international assessments, and ICT-based governance, without abandoning Islamic values and local culture. Its goal is to produce graduates who are pious, academically superior, globally aware, and possess a strong sense of national identity. Even though the RSBI label has been officially removed, many madrasahs continue to adopt this concept as an integrated quality strategy by blending global and local values (glocalization) in order to prepare competent Muslim generations ready to face the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and sustainable development.

Second, the Background and Importance of RSBI Madrasah (Pilot International-Standard School):The RSBI madrasah is important from philosophical, theological, sociological, anthropological, and economic perspectives because it integrates modern education with Islamic values and local culture. Philosophically, it emphasizes the balance of knowledge and morality; theologically, it reflects the worship of seeking knowledge; sociologically, it strengthens social cohesion and mobility; anthropologically, it combines global and local cultures; and economically, it produces high-quality human resources with global competitiveness and supports microeconomic development. With this holistic approach, the RSBI becomes a center for the transformation of Islamic education that responds to global challenges without losing the nation's spiritual and cultural identity.

Third, Standardization of RSBI Madrasah Implementation:Standardization in RSBI madrasah implementation includes a curriculum based on KMA No. 450/2024 enriched with international standards, technology-based learning aligned with 21st-century competencies, globally oriented student selection, and professional bilingual certified educators. Digital infrastructure, transparent management, and funding sourced from national and local budgets, parents, and private partners are managed through an online system. Quality assurance is carried out through continuous evaluation, accreditation, and Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). RSBI madrasahs are designed as flagship institutions that systematically integrate Islamic values, academic excellence, and global readiness under high standards.

Finally, Management Strategies for Pilot International-Standard Madrasahs:Management strategies for RSBI madrasahs include the implementation of a nationally based curriculum with international standards, innovative teaching methods using project-based learning and technology, and human resource development through training and collaboration. Digital and modern learning facilities are transparently managed via the SIMSARPRAS system, while school culture is developed through positive values and collaborative activities. Financial matters are efficiently managed using online systems such as ARKAS, supported by audits and the participation of school committees. Quality evaluation is routinely conducted through AKM, e-Report Cards, EMIS, and academic audits, with the results serving as the foundation for the Madrasah Work Plan to realize high-quality Islamic education with global competitiveness.

Conclusion:RSBI Madrasahs represent the transformation of Islamic education that balances academic excellence with spiritual and cultural values. With an international curriculum, innovative teaching, high-quality human resources, digital facilities, and transparent management, RSBI fosters the emergence of competent Muslim generations with global competitiveness. Its holistic approach is not only philosophically and theologically significant but also sociologically, anthropologically, and economically vital, making RSBI a strategic model in the development of national education that is both high-quality and character-driven.
