Solo, 17 Mei 2025 - Persis Solo secure an important point in the continuation of the Indonesian League after being held to a 1-1 draw by Dewa United FC in a match at Manahan Stadium, Solo, on Saturday night (17/5).
The match was fierce from the first half, with both teams attacking each other. Dewa United FC opened the lead in the 20th minute through their best left winger, Taisei Marukawa, who took advantage of a mistake from Persis' defense.
Persis did not silent and responded using a quick counter-attack. Persis managed to score an equalizer in 28th minute through a rebound ball execute by Persis striker, Ramadhan Sananta, but the teh goal was disallowed because there was an indication of a hand ball from Persis player.
Under heavy rain, second half was played with high intesity. Both teams created several chances, but solid defense kept the score 0-1 for Dewa United FC until 56th minute. In that minute, Persis officially scored an equalizer through a kick from their young midfielder, Zanadin Faris, which could not be blocked by Dewa United goalkeeper.
This draw brings Persis back to 13th position after previously being overtaken by Madura United. Â This match also closes the last home game for Persis Solo before their last game in Bandung (24/5) in their dramatic season in Liga 1 2024-2025.
