Anyway, the film really made me fell into it. It was not literally telling us about the side effects of having sex in a young age. It also shown us the huge contrast in society. They linked society issues either from their economic levels or from their faiths.

The main character, Bima and Dara lived in a very different situation. Bima was an average student living in a rural area. But Bima had a very religious family. Dara happened to be the smartest in the class. She lived in a nice house. Both parents were working but they were not religious.

How the film addressed the issues of difference in social status in a whole new level was way to good. Like, for example, when the school figured out that Dara was pregnant, both parents were called to a meeting, in which the decision was that Dara got expelled. How their parents reacted to what the teenagers did really shown the difference in their social status. Dara's parents phoned their lawyer. While Bima's parents could only wait for their time.

Another example was from how their family solved every problem they had caused. Bima's tried to solve problem by praying together and discussed it as a family, meanwhile Dara's was by making its own decision.

The most interesting part was every symbol and small details they had put in the film, such as strawberry to refer to the baby. I think this was genius! In one scene, Dara put strawberries on her tummy resembling the baby inside her. On the next scene, the strawberries were crushed and blended, resembling abortion. Or where the blended strawberries were leftover resembling unwanted child.

Small details in which the film tried to show its points were also well done. The time Dara was told to live with Bima, she started seeing the differences of the place she used to live with where Bima was grown up. She used to live in a very nice place, in a modern area. But now she had to face the truth of living in a countryside where people did not act the same as those in her neighborhood. She saw couples were having arguments; children swam in a very dirty lake; or how hard to park a car there and more.

I personally think the film deserved a standing applause and an award. This is a highly recommended film
