The webinar titled "AI and the Future of Global Digital Business", organized by the Digital Business Study Program at Jakarta State University on April 23, 2025, offers an in-depth look at the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of global digital business. This event, conducted online via Zoom, consists of two sessions. The first session features Dr. Toh Pei Sung, Ph.D., who presents on "AI and the Global Business", discussing the impact of AI in the global business landscape. The second session is led by Yen-Thanh Le, who covers "Bewise In The Techtile-AI Powered Marketing", focusing on innovations in AI-powered marketing. This webinar serves as an important platform for professionals and academics to explore the latest advancements of AI technology in the business world.

Session One

"AI and the Global Business" - Dr. Toh Pei Sung, Ph.D.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly transformed from a niche technology to a driving force in global business. It’s not just a topic for tech experts anymore; AI is reshaping industries, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering innovation across sectors. According to research, many organizations plan to implement AI solutions soon, yet many business leaders still feel unprepared. This highlights the urgent need for education and strategic planning in AI adoption.

Webinars and forums have become key platforms to bridge this knowledge gap, offering insights into AI's impact on business. One such event, "AI and the Global Business," hosted by Dr. Toh Pei Sung, provides a comprehensive introduction to AI's role in global business, its capabilities, and the challenges of its integration.

Dr. Toh defines AI as the science of creating intelligent machines capable of performing tasks like reasoning, learning, and problem-solving. He discusses AI's core concepts such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision, highlighting their applications in everyday business practices.

In business, AI enhances data analysis, personalizes customer experiences, automates processes, and supports decision-making. It brings significant benefits such as improved efficiency, cost reduction, and the ability to innovate at a faster pace. However, challenges like data quality, the skills gap, and ethical concerns remain critical issues in AI adoption.

Real-world examples from companies like Alibaba, Tesla, and Unilever demonstrate how AI is driving innovation across industries, improving everything from supply chain management to personalized marketing. As AI continues to evolve, businesses must embrace it strategically to stay competitive in an increasingly dynamic marketplace.

AI is more than just a trend; it’s a foundational technology reshaping global business. Understanding AI and its impact is essential for staying relevant and competitive in today’s fast-paced digital world.

Session Two

"Bewise In The Techtile-AI Powered Marketing" - Yen-Thanh Le.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made significant strides, with the introduction of Chat GPT-3 and its remarkable evolution into Chat GPT-4, now capable of processing 10,000 billion words in just one month. This rapid advancement highlights AI's growing ability to learn and process vast amounts of data, surpassing human capabilities.

AI's creativity and flexibility have opened new possibilities, such as the ability to generate images and modify content on demand. For instance, with tools like Zen AI and Chat GPT-2, users can easily create and refine visuals based on specific requests, offering endless creative potential for marketers and content creators.

AI is revolutionizing marketing by allowing businesses to quickly generate high-quality visuals and summaries. Marketers can now create product images or marketing plans instantly, saving time and reducing costs. Additionally, AI's ability to summarize documents and generate strategic plans helps streamline decision-making, enhancing efficiency in marketing campaigns.

While AI holds the potential to replace millions of jobs, it is important to recognize its limitations. AI lacks human qualities such as innovation, ethical judgment, emotional intelligence, and common sense. It complements human skills, rather than replacing them, especially in tasks requiring creativity and intuition.

For today's youth, adapting to AI is crucial. UNESCO highlights three pillars of education in the AI era: understanding AI, using AI to support jobs, and learning to coexist with AI. As AI continues to evolve, preparing for skill upgrades will be essential for young people to thrive in this fast-paced technological landscape.
