The band is called Rue Royale. I believed that this married couple is a match from heaven, and I was so lucky just to see them live last Monday, 22 Februari 2010 night at Trianon cafe in Nijmegen. The lady's voice, Ruth Dekker, was so beautifully being enjoyed by the people through the atmosphere in the cafe, while her husband Brookln Dekker plays the guitar and the magic drum with his feet. Here's one of the picture I captured them live last Monday. [caption id="attachment_80878" align="aligncenter" width="499" caption="live at Trianon, Nijmegen. 22.02.2010"][/caption] Ruth met Brookln in Chicago over 6 or 7 years ago, and then they wed in England in year 2003, the hometown of Ruth, back in Birmingham UK. The band name Rue Royale is named after the street in Chicago. This is I believed French words from the Royal Street. I remembered when I was in Brussel, those roads named first rue which means street or avenue. And Ruth and Brookln have the metaphor for the band's name : Everybody is lost, they don't know where to go Everybody is trying to find the royal road. I guess that is so much true. Everyone seems like to follow the mass and they want to be the mass that will be followed by the people. And my honest opinion is just their music undoubtedly amazing. Just LOVELY. I guess all of their songs are loveliest. And I'm still wondering when will their CD's delivered from UK to my address because I want them so badly. Today is their last day touring in the Netherlands, I saw them in Nijmegen on Monday, before that they have house-cafe performance in Groningen, Tilburg. And now they moved to the south, through Aachen, Germany (city near Maastricht) and then moved again to Belgium. In March, they will explore all over Italy *I bet such a nice choise because it is warmer than UK for sure.
