Slide 17 of 21: Corsetry was invented in France in the late 16th century. These restrictive structures were worn under a woman's clothing to shape her body. Thankfully, we've created slightly less restrictive versions that can be worn as a top or as an accessory to add a little glamour to an otherwise basic look.
