Music Genres

       I'd love to listen to music, for me music is the beautiful masterpiece that can entertain people and it can be listened everywhere. However, people have different tastes of music. There are several famous genres of music. 

        First is jazz genre, it has a beautiful melody and perfect harmony of the instruments, it makes this music grow into high-quality music all over the world. 

Jazz music has several types, such as:

        1. Ragtime: The origin of jazz music with beats and tones that resemble Afrian music. 

        2. Classic jazz: Improvisation is emphasized in the music and musical arrangements can be different from each performance. 

        3. Vocalese: It's also called jazz vocal. Combine lyrics and music in an instrumental solo, but the priority is solo singing accompanied by a small music group. 

         The instruments used in jazz music are usually in the form of modern musical and orchestra, such as: contrabass, bass guitar, saxophone, clarinet, piano, violin, and trombone. It has a beautiful blend of melody and orchestral elements, so it's performed at several prestigious events and also world festivals. For the biggest jazz concert in Indonesia is the Java Jazz Festival. It has become an annual jazz concert that often brings top jazz artists.

        Next, pop music is the well-known music genre and it's professional music that refers to folk music. It begins with a band that is quite famous in the 70s named Koes Ploes. Moreover, pop music is growing and has so many listeners. It's usually used as the soundtrack of several films and tv shows in Indonesia. It has uncomplicated harmony and flexible. It uses various technological innovation to support this music. However, it's easily displaced by the time (famous for a moment). In addition, there are several musicians with the pop genre. They are Isyana Saraswati, Raisa, Agnez Mo, Tulus, and the others. They are very talented and their work is highly appreciated and admired by the public. 

        If you want to listen to music that can refresh your mind after the exhausted day, reggae is the best choice. It has a slower tempo than the other music. This music can make you relax and you can enjoy your time by listening to this music. For your information, reggae music is considered by the United Nations as a cultural heritage that must be protected and promoted by its culture throughout the world. According to UNESCO, reggae music has contributed to international issues, such as: injustice, humanity and love. These are several examples of reggae music:
