Thailand became the first country in Southeast Asia to legalize cannabis for medical and limited recreational use. The legal aspects discussed included:
- Legal and social impacts of cannabis legalization in Thailand
- Government regulations on cannabis use and distribution
- Legal implications for foreign tourists:
- Tourists are not allowed to bring cannabis into or out of Thailand.
- Public consumption of cannabis remains illegal.
- Certain provinces have strict regulations on cannabis, so tourists must be cautious.

Although Thailand has legalized cannabis to some extent, conservative groups and the new administration are pushing for stricter regulations.
