The phenomenon of globalization and rapid developments in information technology have changed the paradigm of education in Indonesia. Currently, the quality of graduates is the main benchmark for the competitiveness of educational institutions. The assumption is that improving the quality of education must be supported by an effective, efficient, and digitally-based academic system. However, in reality, many educational institutions still face problems with manual, slow, and error-prone academic data management. This results in low efficiency, delayed reports, and difficulties in evaluating learning. The solution offered is the implementation of an Academic Management Information System (SIMAK) as a digital tool that systematically integrates all academic activities. The goal is to create transparent, high-quality educational services that are oriented toward improving the quality of human resources.

First, the Academic Information System Concept explains that SIMAK is a computer-based system that provides fast, precise, and accurate academic information to users. This system serves to assist educational management in decision-making, such as scheduling, assessment, reporting, and managing student and teacher data. SIMAK also serves as a means of improving the operational efficiency of educational institutions through the automation of administrative, learning, and assessment services that were previously done manually.

Second, the interaction of information systems in education is realized through the use of e-education technology, which enables a more flexible and interactive learning process. Through the online system, students can access materials, grades, and schedules at any time. Teachers and students can interact through virtual forums and digital classrooms. The benefits of e-education include expanding access to learning, saving costs, increasing participation, and accelerating the dissemination of academic information. Thus, this system strengthens the concept of technology-based distance learning.

Third, the School Academic Information System Software Engineering was developed using the SRS (Software Requirement Specification) model, which describes system requirements, limitations, and application design. This system is equipped with login features for administrators, teachers, students, and principals. Each user has different access rights according to their role. Data processing is carried out automatically through a secure database that is integrated with the school network.

Fourth, the Madrasah Academic Information System (SIAM) model is a further implementation of SIMAK, designed to manage all academic activities from new student admissions, registration, learning, assessment, to alumni. SIAM assists teachers in the evaluation process, simplifies administration, and speeds up the creation of student learning outcome reports.

SIMAK improves academic efficiency, speeds up information services, and creates a transparent, modern education system that is adaptive to developments in digital technology.
