What would i do to resolve this global pandemic
The spread of COVID-19, or as we all know by the name coronavirus. Has officially reached pandemic proportions. It’s all different in each country. Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of the World Health Organization once said during a press conference : “We cannot say this loudly enough, or clearly enough, or often enough. All countries can still change the course of this pandemic.”In the current crisis, every country has its own way to resolve this global pandemic. And here’s a few things from my point of view that i would do to resolve and reduce this global pandemic.
Total lockdown
- Indonesia’s government doesn’t choose lockdown as one of the prevention of the coronavirus spread, but i do think that total lockdown is very important to minimize the spread of the coronavirus, because by doing total lockdown it means less physical contact and less communication. So it will slow down the spread
- But how do we keep people in lockdown and forbid them to go out. I am thinking that we will spread police in every city, every area, every neighbourhood so that people won't come out
- How can people leave to get groceries, food, etc . if i am the president, i will ensure that everyone has food to eat, and i will also ensure that everyone has enough nutrients and eat healthy foods to keep them healthy
Forbid “mudik”
- “Mudik” has been a yearly tradition where people from cities will go back to their place of origin to celebrate “hari raya idul fitri”. I am aware that mudik has been a tradition, but by forbidding mudik, it will also slow down the spread of this virus. People from different cities which may have the virus will go back to their place of origin and meet up with their father, mother, families (keep in mind that the virus can be transmitted to everyone indiscriminately, and it mostly affects the elders whom has low immune) And if they have (got) the virus, it will spread to their family and as a result, more people will suffer from this virus
- Some of their place of origin are in a rural area which doesn’t have that much of a good medication and their facilities are not modernized. So if they get the virus it will be very hard to be medicated.
Spread patients evenly to every hospitals
- Some of the hospitals are handling more patients than they should’ve. So i'm thinking to spread every covid-19 patients to separate hospitals that has isolation rooms and can take care of them so that the hospitals won't be that crowded
- The other reason why I wanted to separate them into different hospitals is also because hospital patients aren’t just covid-19 patients, every patient can come without exception. So to minimize the covid-19 patients means also to give more space to the other patients also.
