According to Andi Hamzah, he said that corruption comes from the Greek "corruptio" and appeared in English and French "Corruption" in Indonesian known as Corruption (Hamzah, 1984, page 2). Dr. Mansyur Semma argues that corruption is a manifestation of acts that violate the norms of the impetus to get things the way cheat and steal (Semma, 2008, page 32). In Indonesia's corruption has been rampant. According to Chief Justice Hatta Ali, the data show that corruption in the country in 2016 has reached 14 567 cases, and it increased since 2015, namely 13 977 (Priska Sari Pratiwi, 29 December 2016). There are innumerable cases of corruption in Indonesia, such as of bribery, embezzlement, and extortion to gain an advantage, into the cases of corruption that have caused losses to the state.

One form of corruption is bribery. According to Abdullah Bin Abdul Muhsin bribery is a form of corruption involving the provision not only in money but also in the form of anything that aims to change a decision that will be set (Ath-Thariq, 1987, page 9). In Indonesia, bribery case has rampant not only judges or prosecutors are often the perpetrators of bribe recipients but also government agencies and many of the officials who become actors and receiving bribes. In Indonesia, is now in a tantrum right by cases of bribery E-KTP shuffling some official name, which according to the Commission on the case of the E-KTP has caused losses to the state amounting to Rp 2.3 trillion (Nugroho, 9 March 2017). Although the country has been trying to eradicate bribery but bribery is still a culture among officials, civil servants and always cause losses to the state and society in a country.

Embezzlement is also included in acts of corruption involving the theft of money, property or valuables by someone who was given the mandate to maintain and take care of these valuable items. In Indonesia, an embezzlement case occurred in 2010 which was suspected cases of tax evasion done by Gayus Tambunan. Judge Suhartoyo said Gayus was proven legitimate and claimed to have engaged in corruption which is a combination of several acts that stand alone and are continuing, and money laundering (BBC Indonesia, 1 March 2012). Although large cases such as embezzlement committed Gayus case has been completed, but there are still many cases of embezzlement in Indonesia either already revealed or totally uncovered.

In addition to bribery and embezzlement, there is extortion as corruption by using the threat of force as an alternative to committing corruption. Extortion itself is often carried out by the parties expect the cooperation of people who have influence or position to do that aims to benefit unilaterally by force or display of information that destroys. Extortion itself is very dangerous for everyone because people who do not have the intention to do corruption could turn into perpetrators of corruption due to the threats from the perpetrators of extortion, and partly a victim of extortion destroyed in because of corruption they did because of forced or destroyed due to the appearance of information derogatory disseminated by the perpetrators of extortion.

There are still many forms of corruption which exists and which make losses in this country. To eradicate corruption, cooperation from every element of society and relevant institutions is needed in order to reduce the rate of corruption in this country. Basically, most of the corruption is an act that comes from yourself, so to reduce corruption in the future, let us inculcate moral values and ethics in yourself in order to become a person who is devoted to religion so that we can save ourselves, our families and our country from the impacts of Corruption.
