There are some reason why people study foreign languages. First reason is that he/she admires things or figures from those countries. For example, someone likes a Korean boyband. He/she will look for all information about the boyband by searching on the internet or reading magazines. Some of them are written in Korean. That is why he/she is usually interested to study Korean. Other example is that someone delights a famous singer like Anggun C. Sasmi. He/she needs to learn French since some of her songs are in it.
Second, people want to visit the countries. Because of studying or working in a foreign country, someone should learn its language. It is essential to make easy to adapt towards the environment and communicate with the citizen. Futhermore, if a student want to study in a certain university, he/she must pass TOEFL Test or equivalent.
Last, other reason is a job necessity. Some jobs require the employees to pass TOEFL Test. It means that they must learn English in advance. The applicant must attach a TOEFL Certificate or equvalent. The aim is for knowning the ability to compete in global era. Moreover, He/she should be able to communicate with foreign colleagues.
