Born in Surabaya-Indonesia in 20 July 1973, Syandra is the 2nd generation of Chinese decedents from Hing Hua Province, China. Syandra left Indonesia at 6 years old to pursue her education in Taiwan, Singapore and the United States. Graduated from Interior Design and E-Commerce marketing majors, Syandra started her career in San Diego, Singapore and Jakarta. She returned to Surabaya in 2004 to extend her career in Mandarin Oriental Hotel Majapahit Surabaya, JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya and The Taman Dayu Club as Marketing Communications Manager. During her professional working occurrence, Syandra managed to make Mandarin Oriental Surabaya the 1st proud recipient of the 2006 for the Best ASEAN Cultural Preservation Effort in Indonesia awarded by the ASEAN Tourism Association. Began in 2008, Syandra Kwan started Syandra Kwan Public Relations Agency and it is the first East-Java based independent public relations agency. With head office in Surabaya, Syandra Kwan Public Relations Agency opens second office in Jakarta in 2010 and abbreviates to be “SKPR Asia” to enter Singapore and opened the 3rd representative office in 2014. Syandra Kwan has been the member of International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and Public Relations Society Indonesia (PRSI) since 2009, and actively attends seminars and conferences conducted by both organizations to refresh and upgrade the communication trends as well as widening the network globally. In 2010, Syandra Kwan PR Agency won the 4th place in Brand Crisis Management in Mix Magazine, competing with more than 100 PR agencies nationwide.
