Jakarta, June 29, 2025 -- Communication Science students from UHAMKA had a chance to experience the fast-paced world of journalism during a visit to The Jakarta Post. They joined an exciting activity called "Headline Hustle" that helped them learn how news stories are made.

In this activity, students were shown one photo on a big screen. From that photo, they had to create a news story. They wrote a headline, decided what the story was about, picked who to interview, chose an angle, and planned how to tell the story.

This activity was like a game but also a real learning experience. It helped students think fast and work like real journalists. An editor from The Jakarta Post guided them during the session.

"It's not just a game; it's a mental workout. We want students to see the many stories behind one photo," said one of the instructors.

Wearing green uniforms and bringing their notebooks, the students worked in groups. They shared ideas, argued about the best story angle, and presented their news stories. One student even took the mic and pitched her story just like a real reporter.

Besides the game, students also spoke with real journalists. They learned about important topics like media ethics, accuracy in news, and the role of journalism today.

"This session really opened my eyes. I now understand how important it is to ask the right questions and see things from many sides," said Rani, one of the students.

This fun and interactive session helped students connect what they learn in class with what happens in real life. It showed that journalism can be both educational and enjoyable.
