The values, beliefs, habits, and behaviors of a group of individuals are referred to as the cultural context. Such circumstances will affect whether something is viewed by the individuals concerned as right or wrong. In our everyday lives we must have experienced intercultural context. Intercultural communication context also includes intercultural communication in globalized business, education the globalized society and lastly is healthcare in a multicultural context.

There are many different cultures out there therefore there are many different ways of communicating as well.

Due to population growth, people migrate to different countries and this causes globalization. Living with people from many different cultural background, because of this we need to know the context of communication to be aware of the problem that might arise.

In the book from Samovar on page 340 -341, he has stated that there three assumptions grounding communication context. The first assumption is that. Communication is rule governed, this assumption means that communication rules govern both verbal and non-verbal behaviors. The second one is context dictates communication assumption.

This means that We should be aware who we are interacting with, what kind of place we're at, and what occasion we're at. Depending on all of that, we are able to identify what kind or language we should use, such as informal or informal. The last assumption is that communication vary across culture is that it depends on the individuals perspectives about the context.

I would like to use an international school as an example. From my experience, people from different countries goes to the school i went to. There were many different ethnicities and races.

For example, since my school was a British school most of the people who attended the school came from Europe, most European countries are low context countries and in the school they have to meet people from other countries that are high context countries.

What i have seen is that both low and high context try to adapt and get along with each other. Especially during a group project, we have to be able to work together. The uncertainty avoidance might be high in this case to avoid any clash.
