Pancasila is a state ideology of Indonesia. It summary all cultural and moral values of Indonesian people. In short, Pancasila contains national philosophy how Indonesian people and the government run the country. It's a kind of national compass to reach national development goals.

Inside Pancasila, there are points used as guidance for all Indonesian people (including government) how to think and act both as individual and nation in this heterogen country. There is point about spiritual, economy, politics, law, and social justice inside Pancasila. It's certainly good and promising...if it's really implemented as it should be, of course.

The problem is most of the time Pancasila face the dynamic progress of the world condition. It's actually something natural since all countries on the world also face the same global problems in general. Nothing is to worry about as long as Indonesian people --led by clean and good democratic government-- can implement Pancasila properly and consistently.

The sadly thing is Pancasila is not yet fully implemented by Indonesian people, especially the authority. Corruption, unfair law and economic system, social conflict, religion clash, and many others still happen frequently in this country. Of course, the law enforcement has tried to take down some problems, but still many people think that the social system is not fair enough. The rich become richer and the poor become poorer.

I'm not an expert in any field, just a former English teacher and a simple observer. The way I see this problem is: we need to implement Pancasila properly so that we can prosper the people as it should be. Let's not make Pancasila simply as political jargon. If all Indonesian people reach prosperity, the law and economic system is fair, no more corruption and law breakers, people are easy to get a job and happy life, economic growth is more than 8%, the tax is not a killer, and Indonesian future is bright, then Pancasila might become a good example of reliable ideology...not only in Indonesia, but perhaps also in the world.
