Valentine's Day is getting closer! That day is about love and romance, But Valentine's day in other countries has a culture and tradition of how to celebrate valentine. What if on Valentine's day we celebrate on a daily or other day?

Valentine's day has a unique and mysterious history. The most famous story that we know is about Saint Valentine, a priest in ancient Rome who secretly conducted marriages despite Emperor Claudious II banning it. As a result Saint Valentine was imprisoned and eventually executed on february 14th. Along with the time, he is become about love and romance

In addition, there are some who believe that the origin of Valentine's Day dates back to an ancient Roman festival known as lupercalia, a fertility festival that developed in the Catholic church as a form of honor to Saint Valentine.

From era to era, there are several symbols that have become one with Valentine. As we know, the red rose was born from the story of Venus, the goddess of romantic love. That is why red roses are one of the symbols of romance. Meanwhile, the tradition of giving chocolates began in the 19th century thanks to Richard Cadbury who created a heart-shaped chocolate box as one of the successful marketing strategies until now.

Not to forget that before text messaging and social media, love letters were the ultimate form of expression of love. Even in this era, it has become one of the love languages WOA (Word Affirmation) and this is also a plus point of effort in a relationship.

Valentine's Day has many different stories from several countries. According to the article www.jrailpass.com In Japan, women give chocolates to men on February 14, and a month later, on White Day, men return the gift. Meanwhile, according to www.asiasociety.com, South Korea has Black Day on April 14, where singles enjoy jajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodles) as a form of solitude celebration.

In Finland and Estonia, Valentine's Day is called "Friendship Day," which is celebrated to strengthen friendships. In Denmark, instead of roses, people exchange 'snowdrop' flowers and send love letters with riddles called 'gaekkebrev'.

Despite the different historical backgrounds and traditions. Valentine's Day is an opportunity to spread love in many forms. Whether it's with your partner, friends, or even celebrating yourself, the most important thing is to appreciate the people around us every day.
