Washington (31/05/2022), Korean pop supergroup BTS known as Bangtan Sonyeondan or Beyond The Scene meet US President Joe Biden to discuss Important Issues of Anti-Asia Hate Crimes, Asian Inclusion, and Diversity at The White House.
As an Asians who have faced discrimination and devastated by the recent surge of hate crimes, including Asian American hates crimes, global K-pop phenomenon and grammy nominated from the Republic of Korea BTS honour invited to the White House.
"Hi, we are BTS and it is a great honour to be invited to the White House today to discuss the important issues of anti-Asia hate crimes, Asian Inclusion, and diversity." said RM the leader of BTS.
They also take this opportunity as an artists to speaks their voices about this important issues.
"We thank the President Biden and the White House for giving this important opportunity to speak about the important causes and remind ourselves of what we can do as artists". he continue said.
Then, they also believe music is always an amazing and wonderful unifier of all things.
"As South Korean artists and someone who witnessed transcending barriers such as languages and cultures while traveling abroad or saw (our music) reaching many people worldwide on a tour, we wanted to talk about the power of diversity." Said SUGA member of BTS.
Regarding with that statements they hope there will be more positive cases that difference bring people together.
Lastly, as Korean pop supergroup who have millions of fans and they also thanks to the fans "Army" because their support and love BTS can play an important role as youth ambassador promoting a positive message.
"Thanks to our Army our fans worldwide who have different nationalities and cultures and use different language" said Jhope member of BTS.
