The originator of postmodernism was first Arnold Toynbee in 1939 with his book titled study of history
 There are two differences of opinion about the understanding of postmodernism with modern quite significantly different. One concept says that modernism is at odds with postmodernism and there is even a contrasting paradox.Â
Finally Postmodernism is divided into several parts, including: Post-Modernism Ressistace, Post-Modernism Reaction, Opposition Post-Modernism and Affirmative Post-Modernism. In the midst of the debate over the two concepts above, there is a third opinion that wants to mediate the two contradictory opinions earlier.Â
The word "Post" in the postmodernism designation does not only mean "after" (the next period), postmodernism is an endeavor as a reaction to the vanity of the modernist era that vanished like a breeze. The cause of the futility of the modernist era is the result of pressure from human intellectual reasoning which continues to morphose.
