Indonesia Shines at the World Pain Forum: dr. Alif Noeriyanto Rahman, SpOT Strengthens Indonesia's Position in the International Medical Arena
Menorca Island, Spain, May 12, 2025 - The medical community once again highlights innovations in pain management as the Menorca World Summit of Pain Medicine Society Leaders (MWSPM) and the Global Summit of Scientific Societies - PAINCONNECT 2025Â take center stage. This prestigious event serves as a global forum for medical experts to collaborate on innovative solutions for patients suffering from chronic pain. With the theme "Innovating for a Pain-Free Future", the event, held on May 10-11, 2025, emphasizes universal access to pain management free from financial, cultural, educational, and systemic barriers.
A key highlight of the forum is the contribution of dr. Alif Noeriyanto Rahman, SpOT, who represents Indonesia in this world-class scientific discussion. As a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and CEO of Klinik Artikular, dr. Alif is not just a participant but a leader in medical innovation. During the main session, he presented his scientific paper titled "Artificial Intelligence in Piriformis Pain Intervention: A New Hope", exploring how artificial intelligence can be integrated into piriformis pain intervention-a complex condition often difficult to treat using conventional methods-capturing global medical attention. Â
The forum also marks a significant milestone with the launch of the Pain Medicine Leaders (www.painmedicineleaders.org) platform, an initiative designed to enable leaders in the global pain medicine community to network, participate in discussions, and exchange knowledge and information. This platform is expected to have a substantial impact on improving pain management practices, strengthening global cooperation to introduce more effective medical solutions. Â
In addition to showcasing medical innovations, the forum emphasizes strategies for "Enhancing Collaboration", encouraging active participation among medical communities worldwide to share resources and expertise, as well as "Maximizing Collective Impact", focusing on collective efforts to advance education, research, and advocacy in pain medicine. Â
Following the success of this year's event, MWSPM will be held again in 2026, providing a broader opportunity for experts from different regions to join forces and strengthen international cooperation in pursuit of a future free from pain. Â
With this achievement, Indonesia is not just present in global medical discussions but is actively shaping the future of pain management, proving that the country's expertise and innovations can contribute meaningfully to the transformation of global healthcare. Â
