Should Students Wear Uniform?

Students should not wear school uniforms. School uniforms is the uniform or clothes that obligated by school departement for the students to wear it when they come to school in the formal time. Students should not wear school uniforms because it's have nothing to do with the learning process. However if the students do not wear school uniforms, that can make them to lose their order because they dress however they want. Therefore the students should not wear school uniforms but in specific meaning.

The quality of students academic is not depend on what they wear. There are a lot of school in Indonesia that does not obligate their students to wear uniform. However, their academic ability are good, for examples in british school jakarta, jakarta intercultural school and british international school. Therefore the uniform does not has a specific impact to students ability, because it is depend on how they learned.

In addition, by not having to wear school uniforms can help students economy,  cause they do not have to buy it. School uniforms does not affecting students academic quality because the essential factor is how they learned. According to (Rundong Wang, n.d.) Literature Identified Show that school uniforms Not directly impact to students academic but directly impact to students Psychological and physical health. Students with Several categories including Students from poor families face financial burdens because Policy requiring uniforms (Reidy, 2021). For this reason, academic success is not affected by use of uniforms.

Some people argue that school uniforms are to grow school identity, reduce social gap and bullying and increase the sense of togetherness. However, wearing a school uniforms does not guarantee prevention of bullying. some factor of bullying occur due to differences in social status, which can still be recognized even when students wear the same uniform. A sense of community can still develop even when students don't wear school uniforms, as it is based on the students' attitudes and characteristics, not their clothing.

Several research findings and experts suggest that factors contributing to bullying include: Unsafe school environment, imbalance of power, poor social relationships, and family factors. (Rundong Wang, n.d.). Hence, school uniforms is not always became a benchmark to compare students behavior.

In conclusion, without wearing school uniforms students can increase their academic skill, because academic achievement not based on what they wear but how they learned, and also that is not the factor which is affecting their behavior.
