Five Feet Apart (2018) by Rachael Lippincott is a novel about falling in love with someone who is both perfectly right and profoundly wrong for you. Five Feet Apart is a film about two Cystic Fibrosis (CF) patients, Stella Grant and Will Newman, who are struggling to overcome the physical, mental, and spiritual boundaries that threaten them. To limit the danger of cross-infection, CF patients must be kept at least six feet (1.8 m) apart. Contracting bacterial infections from other CF patients can be fatal. A similar path to survive extremely real and prevalent physical hazards lurks beneath each character's development.
