HEROES Challenge with the theme of "Introducing Indonesian food to UC Davis Students" has been proudly presented by 25 IISMA UC Davis Awardee on the 19th of August 2022, in the UC Davis International Center.Â
The event is done to introduce one of the integral parts of Indonesian culture, which is the cuisine, to the students of UC Davis which is known for its diversity, especially in termsof the nationality and culture.
In the event, there were 3 courses of meal provided. There was Sate Taichan as appetizer, Nasi Goreng as the main course, and Martabak Coklat Keju alongside Soda Gembira as the closing of the dish. The students of UC Davis were served the dishes and being asked whether it is suitable to their taste or not.
Even though the students come from multiple different background, they all have given positive reaction and feedback as a way of saying that they are fond of Indonesian food, and all the reactions were recorded and photographed for documentation purposes.Â
Through this event, IISMA UC Davis Awardees hope to further extend the connections and collaborations between Indonesia students and American as well as international students in cultural partnership and other programs. Check it out in the link below!
